I’m Kairos. K-Plating is a one-bench workshop in Canada for people who care about the details most shops skip: the exact tone of the gold, the way the clasp catches light, the edges nobody photographs.
I don’t take volume. Every watch is disassembled before it is plated, movement, dial and hands out, bezel, case-back and crown off, the bracelet taken apart, and each part is prepped, racked and finished on its own, inside and out. That’s the whole pitch: quiet work, done precisely.
Thickness follows a process validated by independent XRF, executed the same way on every piece. The colour target was set by spectrophotometric CIELAB measurement against modern genuine Rolex, defined by numbers, not memory or a photo.
No batch runs, no rush jobs. Your piece gets the bench to itself, start to finish, until it clears. It’s the whole reason the work holds up.
Plating is a finish, not solid gold. Before you ship, we will tell you plainly what your piece can and cannot take, and how close the match can get.
If our work fails, peeling, blistering, or lifting, it comes back and we make it right.
Bring us the demanding builds and the custom colour matches other shops pass on. Complex, one-off work is what we like best, and we’ll work with you until it’s right.
Questions before you ship, or just want a read on your piece? WhatsApp and Telegram get the fastest reply. Email and RWI work too.
Tell us what you’ve got. A $25 deposit holds your place on the bench.
